Fatigue Management

Objectives: Whether your aim is to have the flexibility to operate for up to 14 working hours or you need to understand the new legislation and how it might affect you. For companies and drivers of heavy vehicles this course will deliver the information necessary and qualifications required to obtain registration with the relevant State Authority responsible for heavy vehicle driving hours. Also, it will provide operations staff and drivers with the skills/knowledge needed to manage their own personal fatigue, improve awareness and assisst in making pesonal lifestyle choices to operate heavy vehicles safely and legally.

Entry Requirements: None

Duration: Governing bodies over seeing delivery of the new Fatigue Management training recommend a minimum of approxiamately 6 hours for drivers and a further 2+ hours to complete the schedulers section.  

Fatique Management Training

Course Content:

  • Cause and effects of fatigue
  • Recognition of personal warning signs of fatigue
  • Making decisions about lifestyle choices
  • Identifying workplace practices which are most effective in combating fatigue
  • Factors that increase the risk of fatigue related crashes
  • Planning strategies to manage personal fatigue
